February 5^th 12 Step Bible Study - Step 5 - It is interesting to see that much of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous is taken from the bigger book - the Bible. For example, did you know that One day at a time is found in the book of Matthew? In the 12 step Bible study we will read and discuss a variety of scripture pertaining to the 12 steps. Studying the Bible will help us go deeper into our hearts and strengthen our relationship with God and grow in faith by knowing Him from Scripture. February 7^th - New Book Study - In keeping with our mission of recovery and deepening our relationship with God, a small group will be reading and studying the first 165 pages of the book entitled Alcoholics Anonymous; the basic text book used by alcoholics. Each of the 12 steps will be discussed thoroughly along with other important background information in the book. Necessary action for each step that allows for a deepening of spiritual growth will be discussed and encouraged. The first meeting of this group is February 7, 2012 from 6:45 to 8:00 at the church. February 12th - Annual congregational meeting - We will gather as a congregation immediately following worship for the purpose of receiving 2011 ministry reports, approving the 2012 budget, and terms of Pastor Susan Rack's call, electing church officers and conducting other necessary business. Plan to stay for brunch. Bring a vegetarian dish to share. Beverages and dessert provided. We will gather as a Committee of the Whole to be introduced to the Jeremiah Journey Christ Presbyterian Church will be embarking on together. Please plan to join in this launch into Christ Presbyterian Church's future. All friends of the CPC community welcome and encouraged to attend.

February 22^nd (after Taize service)- Lenten Book Study During Lent in 2012, we will be studying the book Unbinding the Gospel by Martha Grace Reese. This book is a book for pastors who want to know the truth about the state of evangelism.
